David Carruthers MBA
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on the 15th September 1957, David's rise to prominence began in Penicuik, a small Scottish town on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

A summer job, writing odds on an over-sized white board at Ladbroke Racing, at that time the UK & Ireland's largest off track licensed bookmaker, proved to be the catalyst to a hugely successful career, culminating in establishing himself as a leader in the international gaming industry.

The much traveled entrepreneur headed south of Hadrian's Wall in 1982 to London, where he continued to enhance his reputation as an accomplished and determined asset to Ladbrokes, whilst all the while expanding his industry education. When promoted to Area manager of the East Birmingham District,  David settled in the Midlands of England continuing to develop his career within the industry. In 1995 David graduated with an MBA from the University of Wolverhampton where he went on to become a highly regarded visiting lecturer teaching International and Strategic Management.

July 2000 David joined BETonSPORTS and, charged with the ultimate goal of a successful IPO of the company (BETonSPORTS) on the London Stock  Exchange, pioneered a period of immense success for the company.  From the outset David built systems and a team from the ground up, and his team fulfilled this ambition in July 2004 with one of the largest floats of the year, raising 54.6 million GBP.

Whilst actively and openly campaigning for the regulation of the gaming industry in the USA, David looked to capitalize on the ever expanding Asian market, securing the aqusition of Easybets to bolster BETonSPORTS position in the Far East.  Again in December 2005 The VO Group, a US facing Sportsbook and Casino, was added to the BETonSPORTS operations.  A third deal in 18 month was achieved with Hooball and 777Ball, more, Asian facing businesses.  As David continued to expand the BETonSPORTS portfolio both received recognition as first market movers in Asia.
